Dogs ....again!!
In these extremely hot times it is just a little relief to sit out on the patio with your evening meal and a drink as the temperature drops a couple of degrees and a slight breeze gives some relief. Howver in my part of Cyprus, the 'unowned dog pack' from Ilgas descends slowly through Yesiltepe down to Alsancak upsetting all the 'owned' dogs and creating endless barking throughout the evening. I thought that there was now a local 'bylaw' that prohibits ownership of more than two but our neignbour has three recent arrivals...all kept in caged at least 23 hours a day. We have at least 8 within 250 yards so when one starts the whole lot start. Yes ...'this is Cyprus' and, if we don't like it 'go somewhere else' !! But what about if Cyprus is your home and you don't want to go anywhere else !! Really is time for the 'powers that be' dealt with this problem.....my two TC neignbours are just as 'pxssed off' as we are !!

And before antone says 'dog hater' I always owned a Germ an Shephard' in the UK before I retired and came here ..not chained, not chained, a loved member of my family. Went out recen tly and the owner of the establis hment I visited owned an extremely well endowed large dog. I asked if he was going mto be 'speyed' and his reply was that 'It was only fair that he should spread his seed' !! You coudn't make it up could you !!! Sadly KAR with this attitude you really are wasting your time !!

Up the Reds, in all honesty its a waste of time going on about male dogs in this country or for that matter any other that is ignorant as to animal welfare. Asking a TC male is as per a remark made by myself to a so called educated man here.
Him: my dog keeps running away and disappearing for hours/days on end, what can I do" Me: well, you can have him "dealt with" for a start off. Him: What!! Cut his balls off? You might as well cut mine off, if you cut my boys balls off" Me: Well, to be honest I'd be quite willing to do both. This conversation was about 5 years ago outside Lemar supermarket, when I was manning a KAR stall in the hot sun for 4 hours. (he didn't leave a donation BTW) Sadly, the stupid and ignorant will always be stupid and ignorant.

Be very, very aware that anything that you say to Sophie could result in her reaching for those 'snips'....!!!

In my experience if you stay out past your agreed curfew women generally want to cut your balls off.Keithcaley wrote: ↑Sat 05 Sep 2020 11:59 amBe very, very aware that anything that you say to Sophie could result in her reaching for those 'snips'....!!!

A guy's wife in pregnant and getting cravings for unusual foods. One day she decides she just has to have snails and sends him to get some. He goes to the fancy seafood store and buys a bunch of live snails for making escargot. They put the snails in a paper bag and tell him to get home quickly as the bag may not last.
On the way home he passes the local bar and one of his friends sees him and invites him in for drink to celebrate in expected new birth. One thing leads to another and the guy ends up staying until closing time and getting hammered.
Finally he goes home. Just as he is walking up the drive two things happen. One, the bag finally breaks and the snails all fall out onto the driveway and, two, his wife opens the door and starts yelling at him and demanding to know where he has been and why it has taken so long for him to get home.
The guys looks at his wife, then at the snails, then at the wife and then at the snails again.
"Come on guys" he says to the snails "We're almost there. Just a few feet more."
