Easyjet canceled
Many thanks to easy jet for cancelling flights from larnaca to liverpool from end October until March without informing me.
No matter that I probably wouldn't be able to cross the border anyway. How disgraceful it is that a relative saw the dates cancelled. Not professional at all.
Not heard,from easyjet at all.

Re: Easyjet canceled
I think the situation is fairly fluid at the moment. I was due to fly out 17th September and return to the UK on 15th October with Easyjet. They notified me a week ago that the return flight has been cancelled and said I could request a refund, which I did. You will probably hear from them nearer your flight dates as they are not dealing with cancellations en bloc. I take your point, although airlines are having a pretty rough time at the moment.

Hope you paid on a CREDIT card otherwise no hope of a refund, just a worthless voucher offer, the restrictions for use will get you a huge phone bill to end you back to nowhere!

Re: Easyjet canceled
We had booked two sets of return flights U.K. to Larnaca with Easyjet. However; after much thought and of course considering the ROC restrictions on crossing the border we decided that we would not travel.
Rather than wait for Easyjet to cancel the flights with a possibility of then receiving a refund....sometime whenever, we decided to bite the bullet and have reused the original bookings for flights within the U.K. for a couple of short breaks....Scotland and Jersey. We could of course have reused the original bookings for flights in Europe but rather than risk having to change again decided on the U.K.
Following the ROC decision and to avoid any issues we have decided than when we do travel it will be U.K. to Ercan in the future.
Frustrating as it is it’s not unexpected.

Totally wrong! I have already had one refund from Easyjet due to a cancelled flight and another being processed. Easyjet have an online chat facility which costs nothing and I have found to be very helpful.

Wise choice flying into Ercan. Only used Larnaca twice, once with Cobalt air and once with Thomas Cook, got stranded both times and had to use T.A. both times to get home.PoshinDevon wrote: ↑Sun 06 Sep 2020 8:06 pmWe had booked two sets of return flights U.K. to Larnaca with Easyjet. You are very fortunate rather than others I've heard from with Easyjet experience.

Agreed.
Have had 2 flights cancelled by easyjet this year.
Both times applied for a cash refund on their website and have received the full amounts back.

Re: Easyjet canceled
As I mentioned in my post, we decided not to wait for Easyjet to cancel our flights and possibly receive a refund. The restrictions at the border helped the decision making.
Easyjet are flying to Cyprus, however on arrival there could have been issues crossing the border with the only crossing available would have been at Beyarmudu. Whilst we could cross to the north, returning to the south for our flight home would not be possible.
With regards to refunds, we had flight booked for 2 April this year. Easyjet cancelled the flight and like many airlines at that time did not offer a refund, but only the opportunity to rebook for a later date. As we wanted to travel to Cyprus we did rebook for a later date. However two months later with little chance of travelling we cancelled the trip and rebooked again for travel in the UK.
Glad to hear Easyjet are now offering refunds.

It's not a question of offering refunds it's the law.PoshinDevon wrote: ↑Mon 07 Sep 2020 7:35 amAs I mentioned in my post, we decided not to wait for Easyjet to cancel our flights and possibly receive a refund. The restrictions at the border helped the decision making.

Initially they made it difficult - only offering the refund if you rang up and pushing the voucher option online - but after bad press they put the refund option back online.
Ba are still only doing refunds over the phone.

Nope! Had refunds by filling in their online form! No problem, took about 30 days. That first one was for an April flight out.

Re: Easyjet canceled
Well this is all very odd...if you go to book on their website Oct to March clearly says no flights. Yet if you log on to the my bookings section and put in your booking code. No mention of it.

Yes I had the choice of a free change to other dates or a refund. They only cancelled my return flight but I took the opportunity to request a refund as I expect to fly in to Ercan at some point in the future.

Re: Easyjet canceled
In my experience they officially cancel the flights in blocks (say a week at a time) so as not to overwhelm the helplines.
Initially they stop selling tickets and then shortly after they start the cancellations.
If you want to push things along or get official confirmation of what is going on then the website live chat or ringing them up are your options.
Hope that helps & good luck.
