I have heard that it has been extended to the first quarter.

I hope so. I submitted my PTB in March last year and have been chasing it up all through December. I went to the Land Registry again last week and they said they have just sent the Land Report to Nicosia!

I heard this from a friend who will be helping me with my registration who has previously worked for the state government and is well informed with what is going on. In my case, the builder also benefits from the reduced taxes so it is also in his best interest to get the transfer done!

All I can say is that I hope so too!

We got an email today from our advocate stating that the land registry fees offer of 1% has been extended for 2021.

A few months... but who knows. We are trying to get correct proof of council tax payment then we should be good to go. With 12 months to play with, you would like to think it gives it enough time... but who knows, we can but try.

If it's the same as before, yes, then 3% up to 300 Sqm and 4% after that.
