Just been shown a video of Burns night celebration in a bar in alsancak last night.
I'm ashamed to be an ex-pat .

Sadly some people will never learn. They think they are immune and have no thought for their own safety or that of family, relatives or friends. I am sure if they or someone close to them sadly caught the virus they would quickly change their actions and point of view.

People transmit the virus, it’s as simple as that.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain

I hope the online video is forwarded to the relevant authorities to take action but I doubt it.

They could be in my local bar today as theirs are now closed. That’s exactly why I am not going there at present.

Very doubtful; such would accept no responsibility at all, and would loudly and very aggressively blame everyone else (especially authorities and medical staff), alleging incompetence, negligence and etc., demanding punishment for those and compensation for theirselves....

I believe authorities have Lockdown Alsancak from today. It's that kind of irresponsible behaviour that causes disruption for everyone, especially businesses struggling to make ends meet.

Two more died yesterday one being a 40 year old with no known chronic illness. I see the Mayors of Alscacak and Lapta are calling for the entire area to be locked down and to prevent travel as they don't think the rules went far enough. Sadly evidence of the video will be proof of that.

I am a Scot and would have loved to celebrate Burns night out here but stayed in away from all. Very disappointed in my fellow Scots. (:Z)(

I celebrated Burns Night at home, alone, with only Janey Godley's Big Burns Night on You Tube for company, and home-made Haggis as comfort food. :-)

Me too HH, but my "haggis" was vegetarian, and kohlrabi instead of mashed neeps. Must check out Janey Godley's video, she has been hilarious with her speak overs.
