Has anyone ordered successfully using Amazon Turkey? Their website can be viewed in English but i cant get it to accept our address here, i have used street address and post codes as well as p.o. box. I know that Amazon UK deliver here and have used them many times in the past but the item i want is heavy and is much cheaper on the Turkish site.

I contacted their support team two weeks ago, asking for assistance entering a TRNC address - their reply said that they only deliver to Turkey?!?!

I have used Amazon Turkey for the last few months. I live in Girne and they deliver to my home. You should be aware that it appears that only items supplied by Amazon Turkey seem to ship to TRNC. Membership of Amazon Prime costs 7.9 TL per month and this includes Prime TV!!

Strange, I signed up to use) Amazon Prime (Turkey) trial to see if I could watch rugby internationals a while back, and it accepted my address here no problem.
Street name and number, village and district, postcode here, then Turkey
One thing I did notice is that you leave the initial 0 off your phone number, but I think it tells you that.

Just a possibility, many Turks particularly from Istanbul would not know what or where TRNC is. They know it as KKTC. Perhaps that is why steveodp was told they don't deliver.

I had similar problem trying to sign up with correct address and personal information.
Asked customer service for advice and reply was as follows:
Hello, dear customer,

Thank you for your interest in Amazon and contacting Amazon.com.tr Customer Service.

Unfortunately, we do not have deliveries to Cyprus.

The cargo companies we have agreed do not deliver products to Cyprus.

You must have a Turkish ID number on Amazon.com.tr.

This is required for invoice.

If you do not have a TR identification number, you can enter the TR of your relative.

You can specify the address you want to appear on your invoice in the "Taxpayer and Billing Information" field on the My Account page. This field is not required.

However, in this case, your billing address is taken from the address information you will specify in the "Statement (Payment Tool) Address" section displayed after you select the payment method while placing your order, and your TR Identity Number is shown as (11111111111) because you did not specify this information.

For this reason, we recommend that you check your information on the "Taxpayer and Billing Information" page before completing your orders:
https://www.amazon.com.tr/gp/vatRegistration

If you want your TR Identity Number to appear on your invoice, you must fill the relevant field in "Taxpayer and Invoice Information". Otherwise, your ID number will be shown as (11111111111) and your statement (payment instrument) address will be specified as the billing address.

Invoices are automatically generated by the system after your order has been sent, and unfortunately it is not possible to make any changes to it later.

To avoid problems with your billing, please make sure that the information you want to be used in the billing address is correct before placing your order.

Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day.

I had to submit the query in Turkish, as they bounced my first message back, saying they couldn't accept it in English- so the message asked about KKTC.

Based on the reply immediately above this, has anyone successfully had a delivery without entering details of a Turkish ID? If so, guidance on what you entered on the address etc. would be gratefully received :+1:)

It was only a possibility steveodp. I'm watching this with great interest as there is stuff I would like to order from them so do please let us know how you get on.

Ali Express works fine, have had items delivered from there - the local PO telephones when they arrive and I go to collect and pay any import fees.

For Ali Express I chose 'Mersin', 'Other'
Then in the address entry boxes I wrote my TRNC address in full.
And added my phone number after my name, and early in the address, so it was clear to the Post Office who to call.

I was able to add my TRNC address to Amazon UK. Although the address does show on Amazon TR, I am not able to order without a TR identification number.

You can choose the shipping location for some items, but not all. I think the shipping costs are reflected in the low prices, a bit like some sellers do on eBay...
