Reopening of checkpoints...
Read the article, the point of interest here is....I read they are now open to all nationalities, unless I'm mistaken.
Has anyone who is not Cyp or a dual national tried to cross with a British Passport?

It's a No from me, why would you want to go and mix with Covid infected Greek's?

Sinovac is not accepted by the G.C side.
So most of the population can't transit the border.

Sinovac is now on the WHO approved list albeit as an emergency acceptable inoculation, don't think you'll be refused at the border. Both sides need customers and trade, I'm happy here, just my own decision.

Re: Reopening of checkpoints...
There can be a multitude of reasons why people may need to cross.
Our neighbour as an example required specific medication, not available in the TRNC but available in the South. They ordered the medication from the UK and it was sent VIA DHL. The medication was confiscated in Turkey, even though a medical experts letter was provided, with Turkish customs asking for a letter from the manufacturer, Glaxaco showing the ingredients used and its safety trials, even though its a drug that's been used for over 65 years. Guess you could tell them to P** off back to the UK, as they need to go south for their health.
We have friends in the south, would be nice to visit them a few times a year without going to Turkey then greece then Cyp and vise versa.
Similarly many people would like the freedom to cross, crossing does not insinuate we want to live there, just the right to travel.
