Problems crossing to South Cyprus

I've been hearing intermittently from various people of protests occurring in the South and Borders being blocked preventing crossing , over the last day or two. Also rumours of cars being damaged in the south.

Can anyone confirm any of this, as I need to travel to Limmasol urgently tomorrow.

I went yesterday in a taxi to the airport, did not see anything untoward, we went through Metehan
