To encourage people to get vaccinated there is a government proposal to charge for PCR testing if you are not vaccinated.

Seems we all do, Alsancak currently charge 10tl so still cheap.

From 27th all businesses to register employees with the health ministry.
100tl PCR test, 40tl antigen test for unvaccinated people.
If found positive then the cost of isolation in a hotel to be paid by the individual.

THE vaccine, ANY vaccine is not going to stop you dieing, at best they will reduce the effects of the virus to manageable level, so it matters not which one you have!

If people don’t want any vaccine that is fine by me, they stand a 90% higher chance of catching the virus and dieing from it - fine just continue to have and pay for the PCR test! But when they do catch the virus - remember it is not an IF, it is a WHEN for all of us - then stay away from the hospitals please, you did not want help in the first place so don’t ask for it now!

Here we go, I knew I should not have provided a figure! OK, if you feel that this is fear mongering then why not provide proof it is? Failing that why not go to The WHO web site and read the facts there. If you research, and I do out of interest not out of fear, then there is a multitude of verifiable information just waiting to be read. You may not find it all on social media through so it could be a challenge.

The World Health Organization is a mine of useful and fully verified information and a good place to start. Read the Myth Busters on that site as well, surprises in store for you. UK National news (BBC) gave a quote by one eminent doctor a short while ago about the chances of catching Covid 19 and it was his statement that it is not IF but WHEN we will all catch it at sometime - vaccinated or not!

Only yesterday on Yeniduzen the Health Ministry gave out the stats that 90% of those in health care in the TRNC with Covid 19 were not vaccinated - figure it out for yourself if you wish. I have given up the arguments on the for's and against for vaccination it is not worth the effort.

To me it is very simple, if you don't want a vaccination then don't have it but please stay away from people who have been vaccinated.

Forget about social media I think you should stay away from mainstream media.

I think a widely reported figure of 10% is accepted for worldwide covid sufferers, although if you use John Hopkins numbers and do your own math i'd put it at more like 3%.

If you use the absolute risk reduction figures of the vaccines (which takes into consideration the 1000s of people both sides of the testing cycle that didn't get covid during the testing) then the numbers come out at around 1% (Pfizer even lower than that at around 0.7%)
90% is smoke and mirrors and doctored by a for profit industry so no surprise there.

The only surprise I have is that someone with a military background can have such a great trust in vaccinations given the history there.

scaremongering or not, waddos maths are wrong anyway.
we have a group of people, they "catch the virus and die". these people represent 100%.
more or less..., say, it is shown that after vaccinations approx 10% of the "normal numbers" apply. (yes yes.. its complicated...)
so, therefore, the chance of "catching the virus and die" is 9 times higher as for not vaccinated.
that represents a 900% higher chance, not "90% higher chance".

kibsolar1999, as I can't understand that, I totally agree with all your figures. Scaremongering - not I - I leave that to facebook and other social media outlets. Research, research, research - not just in one spot but all over the place. In the end you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink so what is the point?

It seems people are getting vaccinated but are not THAT confident that the vaccine will stop them catching the virus or will nullify it’s effects enough to avoid them being hospitalised but want to insist that others get vaccinated with the first vaccine available ASAP.
I’m not sure whether herd immunity is the aim or herd instinct.

People are always more comfortable in a majority I guess.
If you had 80 people queuing at what was obviously the wrong door and only 2 queuing at the correct door you can guarantee more people will join the queue of 80, it’s human nature.

Prime Minister Saner: “PCR and Antigen tests will be paid, except for certain conditions.”

TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner held a press conference and gave information on the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers in the light of the recommendations of the Communicable Diseases High Committee regarding the fees for PCR and antigen tests to be performed by vaccinated and unvaccinated persons, and by whom and how often they should be done.

Prime Minister Saner stated that as of September 1, regardless of whether the person is vaccinated or unvaccinated, all antigen and PCR tests to be carried out in the country (excluding Covid 19 patients or their contacts, students studying in all primary and secondary schools and citizens receiving social assistance) will be made for a fee.
