Transit through Istanbul airport

Flying Turkish early next year back to Ercan via Istanbul new airport. Question is is 1hour 20 minutes layover enough?

Thats about the least time you can afford. If you arrive late you have to get a move on. Security checks can be long and time consuming. All depends where you park and your next gate.

You don't have to go through security in Istanbul on the way to Cyprus.
As you come off the plane you take the Transit fork and show your boarding card. You will then go straight to the departure lounges.
If your plane is late a staff member will be waiting to escort you and fellow travelers.
Don't worry, 1 hour 20 should be plenty of time

The only time we have by passed security was when our incoming flight was late and we were escorted by a member of staff to by pass security, otherwise we have always gone through security. even using the transit fork.
