Masks Back?????

I went into my Solicitors this morning, and was handed a mask to wear, there and then. I asked why and apparently there were 1000 new cases posted yesterday and masks were compulsory in their office from today. Hope this is a temporary blip, don't you?

Same at opticians, fortunately I had some in my bag. Announcement was made yesterday but we hadn't seen it.

Far as I can see from Google translate of section C 6 of the latest communication from the Ministry of Health https://saglik.gov.ct.tr/BULA%C5%9EICI- ... N-KARARLAR dated 22/06/2022

C RULES ABOUT MASKS

6. Masks will be used in crowded meetings/organizations to be held in closed areas

If you compare the full TRNC government report and that of the UK travel advice, the UK instructions are more than a little OTT to say the least.

Only seen them, in Church, Solicitor and heard of at a Dentist. i.e. a shop is a venue, but no one wearing. I've still to be convinced of the supposed 1000 new cases, that has caused this necessity.

On the government website they reported for the week 15-21 June a total of 859 cases so as you say where has a 1000 now cases come from

I think the trigger is a 177% rise in cases in 7 days rather than the actual number.

The U.K. had a 23% rise over a similar period, 43% the week before.

Primarily due to the new BA.4 and BA.5 variants.

And the new restrictions are placed on “events in enclosed spaces”, not just enclosed spaces. Hence the church (a one-off weekly event) but not shops etc (yet!)

But that beggars the question: what is an “event”? (:())

What is important is the 1,000 and 859 measured against what number of tests? Far fewer people now required to test on a regular basis and I am sure a lot of people feeling ill won't bother to get test. Ignorance is bliss, as they say..🤔🤔

I cannot believe the naivety of people. Covid is pretty much the same as Influenza and has much the same effects. The vulnerable will struggle but the vast and I stress for the vast majority of people it will have little effect. Please people have a little restraint. If you consider your self venerable then take precautions but don try to inflict it on the rest of us. I await the the comments from those who claim to have relatives who died because of covid.

I'm not wearing now unless instructed to do so by the person I am visiting, despite the high numbers purported to have been registered. (I wonder who these people are, I wasn't aware that many were being tested these days, other than medical people)

At present it seems to be a personal choice...not being inforced...I will in enclosed busy spaces, outside no problems.

I will never ever wear a mask again.

Never ever put some jollop in my arm.

Never ever not see a member of my family if a politician forbids it.

Done, dusted do one.
