Hi,
Can I get a visa from here for Moscow - or do you need to sort in the South side? Has anyone been through this process?
Many Thanks

Re: Visa for Moscow
I did it about 4 years ago - although for Krasnodar.
I went to the embassy in the South to ask. They suggested I use an agent and recommended one - at a cost of £100 on top of all the fees. I also had to show a hotel booking. I can't remember the official cost but it took about 3 weeks and the agent did everything using passport copies. When the visa was approved I just handed her my passport at the border and she returned it next day.

Re: Visa for Moscow
We did this about 8 years ago. We went over to the South to the Russian Embassy - we filled all the documentation in there - they wanted to keep our passports whilst the visa was being processed, but we told them we had come over from the North, and needed our passports to get back, so they took a copy. We went back 3 weeks later and picked up the visa. It was a bit of a 'free for all' at the Embassy, but we didn't use, or need to use an agent. It was expensive if I remember correctly about £70 all that time ago. Things have probably changed. Get in touch with the High Commission in Nicosia - they should have up to date details of the process.
