Leaving a Southern car at Ercan airport?

Thanks for your help and experiences and sorry for long post!

Can I drive from South to North with my Southern car and leave it at Ercan airport and fly out to Turkey (and of course come back the same way)?
I ask because obviously the Southern car stays in TRNC while I as the driver leave the country. If I try the same on foot (which I tried yesterday at Ledra Palace Crossing), I am not allowed to leave because I MUST take my car with me.

I assume Green Line Regulations are different from going out of the country regulations.
And I assume there are different rules for Greek Cypriots and for me as a German EU citizen.

So, an answer " I see many Southern cars at Ercan parking" does not really help me, as I do not know if they belong to Greek Cypriots or foreigners like me.
