Only effects.non citizens.employers can deduct up to 40 % of min wage to cover accomodation & salary..
Im guessing hotels & construction will be a big winners here..maybe restaurants..

Re: Sectoral minimum wage
If accommodation and food can be provided 'on the cheap', particularly in bulk, then employers will surely look at foreign staff rather than citizens. Less jobs for locals?

I would suggest that "non citizens" who will recieve 40% less will never take employment in Cyprus, Seems like political pre election scam.

Re: Sectoral minimum wage
This doesnt help inflation imo...its really only beneficial to big hotels and construction..they wont be reducing any prices...just a few fat cats will make more profit...
I understand the citizen thing though as some are on the same.min wage and have no accomodation thrown in..
This country is run by a few for big cats benefit..mind you similar to the rest of the world.
Many cant cross to cyprus & hotels workers are striking there to.. i think on the greek side there is a similar rule for pay for hotel workers specifically. Their pay not great either.
