My boy just knocked my PC in the swimming pool at some point and never told me. Do you think it will be any good again. Thanks in advance

Take it out of the case, turn upside down (allows the water to drain out) If you can expose the circuit board use hair dryer to dry out circuits. leave for at least 2/3 days to allow moisture to evaporate then power up. It might work

Normally i would have suggested putting it in a large bag of Rice or Silica Gel sachets however in the heat there it shouldn't be needed. If all else fails the hard drive should be ok, however if not and all your docs are stored in a cloud, at least you can replace and carry on. PC's are often just an access point to a cloud of some type these days.

I hate to be a harbınger of doom - BUT 😎 if the laptop was powered up and runnıng at the tıme, I see no reasonable chance of it surviving.

You might find a computer guy who can recover the data from your hard drive & transfer it to a new computer or retrieve your data from 'The Cloud' e.g. 'One Drive' or Dropbox, but I wouldn't pin your hopes on that particular device ever workıng again...

EDIT - Basically what MnM said in an earlier post!
