Upgrading an iPad2 from ios4 to ios6 - advice please

Advice please.

Can anyone advise how I can upgrade an iPad 2 from ios4 to ios6....

By the way I am not a techie so need simple instructions.

Joe Soap, I believe if you miss an update then you need to contact Apple for them to send you a file to update. Usually, if there is an update you get notified on the iPad, but if you did not update on the previous notice then this causes problems. Anyway, I will find out for sure for you.

Plug in your IPad to your PC click on iTunes and then click on you device on the list down the left hand side, you should then see a picture of your I pad click check for updates
The current current software is 6.1.3
