Not flown Pegasus for absolutely years, so long ago that we used to sit on the plane at SAW for about 45 mins or so. Used Turkish Airlines since they started the Edinburgh route. Notice that Pegasus now fly to Edinburgh (no idea when this started) via SAW. Anyone flown to Edinburgh using Pegasus and can advise on experience.

I don't think it was many months ago when Pegasus announced Edinburgh flights, trying to encourage more Spring and Summer tourists I suppose. Oh for the days we sat on the plane and border control came to us.

You are not wrong there BB, I really wish we could still sit on the plane. It's a challenge getting round Istanbul airport these days, and confess now to using a stick, which really helps. Not quite got to the assistance point yet, and putting it off as long as I can manage under my own steam. Well, other than the morning of departure couple of years ago, daughter's dog tripped me up on the stairs and ended up with a gammy ankle.

A few years ago I thought the Pegasus service was really good and the new female CEO was doing a great job but the last couple of times I have used them unfortunately i have noticed a drop off , had a bad food experience (pre-ordered) service was poor and worst of all the new pricing of the food + drinks is astronomical imo everything in Euros now and pretty scary! Seats get uncomfortable on the longer journeys.

At İST there is free fast track for those aged over 60, infirm or with young children.

İ notice most passengers who could benefit from the fast track walk blindly past. İt’s worth looking out for.

I didn't know about that A1. Thank you so much, will certainly look out for it. I've only noticed fast track for layover less than a certain time (think 90 mins, but could be wrong), am I right in thinking this would be the same thing to look for? I am not familiar with the new Istanbul airport yet, as flight times so far, means I've not had the chance to have a look about. Not that I've over keen on a lengthy waiting time at the airport.

That's great Dalartoket, thank you very much. I'll be way better prepared when I next travel.

I also found out info below when I did a Google search.

iGA Fast Track is available for passengers aged 65 and over at Istanbul Airport, offering free priority access through security and passport control zones.

For arriving passengers: Fast Track access is available at C1 and E1 points on the international arrivals floor.
For departing passengers: The service is located at security checkpoints near Terminal Entrance Gates 1 and 3, and before passport control for international flights.
Additional support: Seniors also receive complimentary buggy assistance and access to the iGA Lounge for rest and amenities.
The service is officially provided by Istanbul Airport (IST) and is free of charge for eligible travelers. No booking is required—simply look for signs labeled "iGA Fast Track" or "Age Friendly Airport" upon arrival.

The iGA Fast Track lanes for international departures at Istanbul Airport (IST) are located:

At security checkpoints near Terminal Entrance Gates 1 and 3 on the Departures level.
Just before passport control for international flights, clearly marked with blue "Fast Track" / "Hızlı Geçiş" signs.
Specifically, Lane A in the security zone near the main concourses serves international departures.
Passengers aged 65 and over can use this service free of charge by following the signs and presenting their boarding pass and passport. No booking is required for seniors.
