Hello All.

Having recently purchased an apartment in Esentepe we're looking for odds and ends and small items of furniture as cheaply as possible.

We've heard that there are auctions held in NC where you can pick up some 'bargains'!!

We're out at the end of August for seven weeks-does anyone know where and when these are held please?

Thanks

Rosie

Amanda's auction rooms is off the Bellapais road, take the first turn to Ozankoy and it is on the right hand side. You can buy at times other than the auction,it is like a shop now.Not sure of opening times.

As Soner says you can pick up bargains on the forum/s so keep checking them out.

Amandas auctions are scheduled to start again in September, they are on the 1st Sunday of each month. You can go down to the auction room and just buy stuff too.

Lambousa auctions are usually every 3-4 weeks, there was one last Saturday so it must be about the 10th August for the next one.

Last but not least there is a2nd hand furniture shop in Alsancak just before Ilelli on the left hand side.

Good luck shopping!

Hi,

Thank you all for your replies.

It's so exciting buying stuff (funny but 'him indoors' doesn't share my passion for shopping) for our new apartment.

When we left Turkey a few weeks ago a Turkish chap turned up-saw the house-bought it and it was all over and done (deeds transferred) in 24hrs-so no time to get our our bits and bobs as we were in the UK-so now I have to buy more!!

Cheers

Rosie

Welcome to the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus!
One of the great things I found about here, are the markets and secondhand stuff you can find. Keep checking Kibkom, #1, in the Sales and Events (for markets/car boot) sections. What part of Turkey are you from? Hope you enjoy it here (and the forum)!
