Hi I have just been asked by an elderly neighbour if I know where he can get a new hearing aid. I have no idea can anyone help. We are in Karsiyaka

Yes, there is a shop called (I think) Akay Optik on the main road through Girne, a couple of doors away from Deniz Plaza. They also sell hearing aid batteries.

For hearing aids there is a company in lefkosia that has taken over from the lov ely Mr Said who died last year. In fact they have taken on the man who is the main repair technician etc of any aids. But this new man is fluent in English and knows what he is doing. His name is Mertcan Senol, and he can be reached on 0392 227 9353 or 0542 850 5451.
