Re: Multimax double slow.
Hi I am not with Multimax i am with Extend and my internet speed has been below 1 download speed now for the past week I have put it down to the holiday period as before it has been really good. I pay for the 5Mbit package so if things dont improve next week i will contact them. Checked the speed just before posting this and it was .66 download and .84 upload, i have never before had an upload speed greater than the download.

Re: Multimax double slow.
kbasat, I dont know why you think this thread is a joke. I was only saying that i had a problem with Extend and not your company, and in fact i still do. When i turn my computer on if i click on the wireless symbol it says i am connected to my service with 54.0Mbps and a strong signal. But if i do a speed test it shows only around .2-4 of download speed. Maybe it is not the internet signal maybe there is something wrong with my laptop, i really dont know, i am not good with these things, i was brought up with pen, paper and envelopes to send messages. If you or anyone else can give me a little advise i would be grateful. Geoff.

Re: Multimax double slow.
Geoff, my comment was not intended for you at all.
I do work for Multimax and when a customer reports a problem, we always pay attention and try to fix customer problems as quickly as possible. So that it is easy for customers to contact us, we have established multiple ways for doing so (see my message 2)
When a customer posts on a forum like Kibkom about Multimax problems, obviously we want to help but we do not know who the customer is, so I have repeated all the ways for customers to contact us, while asking what was the customer service response in case the customer has already contacted us.
Between my response and his repost(msg4), there has been no contact with us regarding any customer whose internet was slow.
And then you post, you are from a different provider and it looks like you have also problems with your connection but it is very unlikely, if not impossible, for your 2 incidents can be related.
When I saw his response on post 4 thanking you but completely ignoring my message, and not contacting us on any support lines during this time, I feel as though this customer only wants to complain but is not seeking for any help.
I dont feel it is any justice, when we are spending so much time and money trying to make sure our customers have the most positive Internet experience, someone posting anonymously on a public forum complaining about internet connection with vague explanation, and then ignore any offer for help and offer any further explanation when asked.
I wrote message#5 out of frustration because we want to help this customer but we dont even know who he is.

Re: Multimax double slow.
As for your problem, my experience tells me your laptop and wireless is ok, and the problem is indeed with your internet connection.Geoff1131 wrote:kbasat, I dont know why you think this thread is a joke. You should contact your provider as it is very unlikely in these scenarios for problems to be fixed without you letting them know.

You should consider switching to a better provider. Multimax is nothing like you you have experienced here in cyprus. We are offering unparalleled speed, very good prices, and a state of the art after sales service. check out http://www.mmcyp.com

Re: Multimax double slow.
kbasat, Thanks for the reply. I tried to contact Extend yesterday but was unable to get through. Now that i know it is definitely an issue with the service i will try again today, if i cannot get through on the phone i will go into Girne later.
Thanks again for your help.. Geoff.
