Re: Upright vacuum cleaner
About as rare as hens teeth in my experience. The late lamented Orphanides used to stock everything from Hoover, Dyson and Electralux etc and I would image that some of the larger HomeBase type shops down South proably stock them. I'm off to see if Tektan can repair my Dyson!!

Sophie - I took my Dyson to Tektan - they had it for four days and told me nothing was wrong with it. When I got it home and took it apart (using a YouTube video on repairing your Dyson!) I found the problem, ordered the part from the UK and now it's working fine!!

Thanks for that tiabxb. I first took it to an electrician here in Alsancak because it was quite obvious it was (and still is) an electrical fault. When I collected it two weeks later, all they had done was twist two wires together and wind blue tape around the join. (They actually didn't think I would notice). I was charged 70tl for their effort.
