Why has the thread regarding c44 been closed as well as th one where I question Ismail and the monies paid by innocent people?

It is apparent that someone has something to hide by the continual closing of threads regarding these two topics. If Lee Hickens has nothing to hide why doesn't he publish accounts so that those that invested know what has happened to their money. It is easy for Marion to say she has seen receipts etc but who is Marion? She is an amateur reporter not an accountant!

The thread about c44 has been closed for no reason, it is fair to discuss the merits or otherwise of said forum and why many of the protagonists from that forum do not post here, which is subject of another thread asking why.

So why cannot we discuss openly c44 and Lee Hickens and his non publication of accounts, many people have given their hard earned cash and want to know where it has gone. I have no axe to grind on either topic but I detest the cavalier attitude of people who refuse open debate.

I do not doubt that all money raised for ismail went to care for ismail and his family and i agree you are entitled to voice your opinion and ask questions if you have donated,and im sure lee would agree.

Some times i think we feel we get treated like children by moderators who think it is right to close threads without even an explanation,i personally think it is damm right ignorant to say the least,and i can imagine the answer to this would be if you do not like the way we operate then use another forum,but that still does not justify not offering an explanation. Sometimes maybe there can be no explanation,it is done and that's that.
I think sometimes we must remember that some people do live in another world and really need to come back down to earth.

Worry not, its not just you. I posted under the title of smoking in bars to be legal a question about dogs requiring chiping. After a 100 plus views and three comments it received another coment that went "Mods, this post has a misleading subject line and should be deleted. Wuff Wuff" and just like that my post vanished!

I eventually found it having been re-titled under the Pets title where it will sit and be ignored by just about all.

So there you have it, one complaint and you get your post moved - I was wrong to use a misleading subject line but at least it got people reading the thread and I always thought that was what Newspapers did anyway - something about free speach but who cares!!!

Oh dear... not easy running a forum. Can please some but can't please all - so that is how it is. Those that are not happy, then I sincerely apologise. Those that are happy, then glad we are doing the right thing.

Original thread was closed as the original poster requested to close it. Just like when members sometime email me direct asking to close a thread that bothers them or their business, action will be taken to keep the peace. Soner, you run an excellent web and thank you very much for all you do for all of us, if it was easy then there would be thousands of forums in the TRNC. My "moan" was that my thread was moved and no mention of where it went to, that is all.

Please note I have not moaned in turn about other misleading thread titles that end up just trying to find homes for dogs! I was honestly trying to gain information and used a very hot thread title to do it. My mistake in thinking that non smokers might also have dogs and an interest in the subject, hey ho!

Just come up with a catchy title, Waddo, that is in keeping with the content. Then it can stay in the right place and achieve its aim.

But anything is worth a try! You can always start another thread but with a different title!!!!!
