What vegs can I start growing in Feb
Hello, I am finally moving over for good in February and want to start a vegetable garden. What can I start doing in February? Is there a good book available for veg gardening here?
We already have established fruit trees, I am thinking I'd like squash, rasberries, salad things and herbs to start with
TIA

Good morning SME.,
I also had a similar plan. It's a good idea if you have a well, but if not
I have a few herbs, but as for the rest, I gave up after the first failure.
I also have a lot of cats around me, and cats love soil.
Of course this is only my opinion, I'm sure you'll get other replies, maybe from successful
people.
I hope your move goes well, and welcome to Paradise,

Now is the time to grow salads, in the summer the leaves are a bit tough, root vegetable is a little bit lat but worth trying. Any perennial plants are good to be planted now, unless they are very delicate. You can put things in pots first and then move them on.
There is a lady, she used to be on a forum, calling herself Daisy Dukes. She is very knowledgable.
This website is also very good:

I don't think that Daisy is a member on here (could be wrong!), and she hasn't posted on the Embargoed forum for a few months, so I've messaged her on Skype, with a link to this thread, it might prompt her to join if she hasn't already...
She did have a facebook group 'Daisy Roots', but I don't know if it's still going

Raspberries.....mmhhh....I've not heard of anybody having success with these, strawberries, yes. If you can find some strawberry plants, you could plant them now.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I remember the name Daisy Dukes, maybe from 44? Or the other little Nige forum.
Well I have a little plot planned that has some shade from an arbour of grapeviine, next to a water tank so watering won't be too bad. Will post up my results!
We have cats too, so am thinking nets
