Actually it is open every Saturday rain or not - although many of the stallholders don't bother in the rain because it is not a covered market.
2 weeks ago it rained and I felt desperately sorry for those 6 or so people who sell freshly made food products. Fooled by the weather forecast they had slogged the night before to produce their wares only to find that the customers didn't arrive and, after hours huddled miserably with their wares under dripping umbrellas, they were stuck with lots of food they couldn't sell. Judging from their extremely reasonable prices, I don't suppose they work with a profit margin that allows for the occasional ditching of unsold items on that scale, and none of them would have presented products thawed out the following week.
