Someone called Linda came around Chateau Lambousa a couple of weeks ago telling us about this but I'm not sure how far the message has got out yet. It it's going to have any chance of success it needs to be publicised so this is my two penneth ...

A new market has started up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So far it has run from 8.30 til 1pm but I understand the host is happy for it to go until 4pm if people want to stay longer. Last week was the first week.

It is being held in the grounds of Restaurant Patrio (sorry if I've got the spelling wrong!) - from St. Andrew's Church, cross over towards the car park on the corner and walk past the car park. The restaurant is next door to the car park on your right.
Alternatively, from Cafe George walk down the side and the restaurant is ahead of you.

I understand the owner of the restaurant wants to boost custom and is supporting this market. Last week on sale was paintings and art work from a local artist, handbags, handmade jewellery, clothes, gold jewellery, perfumes and sun tan lotions, aftersuns and insect repellents. And, if you want to earn some money for yourself you can take your gold scrap jewellery along to sell to the gold seller.

Tables are provided and there is shade - he also has umberellas available if needed. Stallholders can go along to sell their wares for free at the moment - he wants to offer an incentive to get people to come in.

And, if you don't fancy having a stall yourself, why not go along for a browse and support this new little market. They chose days when it won't clash with any others going on so if you are at a loose end, please stop by. Just turning up for a quick look will help to boost the moral of the people sitting there waiting to greet you. And as I said, if you don't want to buy, perhaps you can sell - your gold!
