Best Hospital/Doctor to take 17month old tonight or tomorror

Hope someone can help. My 17 month old son has has a cold for a few days. Been treating him with Calpol. Yesterday he started to cough so i got him some assist cough med. All seemed to be going well until tonight when he has started to wheeze. I am not sure where the best place to take him out of hours (dont really want to be a burden on the state hospital). I am hoping someone will be able to point us in the right direction.

A lot of the locals use the childrens doctor at Kyrenia Hospital, just around the corner from HSBC in Kyrenia. If you need any more info let me know

Try VIP med-ex pat orientated medical service open 24/7.
The number is-03924449911.
They have contacts with all the best hospitals if that's whats needed,and English speaking nurses and doctors.

Sorry you have not had much response to your request-but if your son was a dog you would have had 50 replies!

Yes they are 24 hrs and have all the test facilities on site, blood, x rays, mri etc. So you do not end up being seen and sent to other hospitals. Go past HSBC on your left 1st right hospital just a little way up that road on the right

Sorry you didn't have many replies, I wouldn't have replied with an answer as I wouldn't know the best place to take a 17 month old child.
If the question had been about a cat or dog I would've replied as I know the answer to that one. I am sure that is the same for a lot of the other 159 people that read your post,

As a matter of interest where did you take him, so that if any other member needs to ask a similar question more of us can give the answer.

In the case of first resort, out of hours and your child is ill then A&E should be it. You should not worry about anything but the child's welfare.

The Kamiloglu Hospital as mentioned by laptatony is very good but though they are open 24 hours they may have to call out a doctor from home if treatment is required.

VIP may have a doctor at the clinic but also they could be out on an emergency call.

If you are not registered at VIP or Kamiloglu then I suggest you do so asap. Remember you can call a doctor or nurse and seek advice on the phone at these clinics. Also your local Eczane can offer excellent advice.

For future reference if registered with the VIP MED not only do they have their own ambulance but they will come to your home, with the ambulance if necessary. They take you to their surgery assess you and get you to hospital straight away if this is needed.

We cannot praise their service enough. Open 24/7 and with very caring and helpful staff we always feel well looked after.

Thank you all. We used VIP Med and they came out. They also had to come out to me today as I now have the same virus. Really good service and only 150tl for a home visit. Will recommend them.

That's good news that your son is better, sorry to hear that you are under the weather now. I have been debating which one to sign up with, there is one by HSBC as well as VIP Med, so looks like I will try out for VIP. Thanks for the update.
