can anyone recommend good hotels in Istanbul, close to sultan ahmet please.

Blue House Hotel. Small, friendly, reasonably priced and within easy walking distance of all the major sites.

We stayed at the Pierre Loti Hotel which was very close to the Blue Mosque etc. great position. If you go to Istanbul, make sure you visit the Basilic Cysterns. Awesome!

have been once before but missed a lot of it because of 3 days of rain, going earlier this time.did see cistern though.
