Re: water butts
Tansycat -I brought 3 210 litre Sankey water butts, stands and diverters out here when I moved here 2 1/2 yrs ago ,as I was advised that they were impossible to obtain in the North
However my water supply is so reliable I don't use them.
They are used but in excellent condition-slight sunlight fading only, and the whole lot on amazon would cost about £193-you can have them for £100/TL350.

I also have a hozelok water butt submersible pump which you drop in the butt and connect a hose pipe to,again it is used but in good condition.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hozelock-Ltd-RK ... +butt+pump
I would sell that separately for £30/TL100.
Please pm me if you are interested.

Philoz are you not tempting fate? This year I think the water situation is going to be pretty dire, The lake in Ozankoy below my house dried out last July/August.This year there is about a foot of water now, and it is only April!

Owl lady-Yes, you are probably right.
It has been a dry winter by all accounts.
But I have about 6 tons of stored water which, under normal circumstances would last a couple of months I think?
After that,I have a contingency plan which involves buying a huge quantity of 'Efes',and transferring that to the water tanks.
Quite looking forward to it actually

I like your philosophy (pun intended) My late husband always had a fridge full of water and a pool full of beer!!!

Re: water butts
I would be interested in one of them but not all three. Are you prepared to sell separate sets and, if yes, at what price.
