British Forces' Bay-to-Bay Swim in Episkopi on July 20th

I thought it best to post this now so as to give any keen swimmers out there almost a month to train for this 1.2 mile event.

I competed in this last year, and as one would expect from the British army, the event was very well organised. Yes, you'll have to get up early on the day, but last year my wife and I made a day of it and visitted Paphos as well.
By the way, I have no connections whatsover with the military, but there were no objections to my participation. Moreover last year's winner was a GC teenager. This year I hope to take along a few older students from my school - it'll look good on their university applications.
In any case, hopefully a few of you participate ...
