Open markets
I'm sure it's been posted before but it's confusing to search for. Can anyone enlighten me as to when and where the open markets are on weekends and during the week? Also which ones are more popular?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Open markets
Monday- Tuesday= nothing yet or I don't know
Wednesdays= you have the HUGE city bazaar behind Baris park OR Lemar in Catalkoy from 10-1 or 2pm depends.
Thursday - Friday = nothing yet or I don't know
Saturday= again Lemar in Catalkoy 10am-1pm
Sundays= 1) Pinebay car boot in Alsancak as early as 7am-1pm (?) 2) Soyz bar in Catalkoy from 8am -12pm and 3) Lemar in Alsancak (passed Pinebay) from 8am-12pm
You can search in the box at the bottom "carboot/market sales" it should bring up results in the EVENTS section. I haven't updated since I thought no one really cared for it. and I haven't kept up with the change(s).

Re: Open markets
Saturdays, not sure of the times but there is a very popular market at Lambousa Lapta.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Re: Open markets
If you get Cyprus Today paper you will see them all in the "whats on". On Thursday there is a market at the Castle Pub in Karaoglanoglu from 10 am, Friday there is a market at Tolga's in Karsiyaka. The market at Chateau Lamboussa is probably the biggest after the Wednesday main market, selling a huge variety of stuff, plus lots of home made food. There are 3 car parks at Lamboussa, so people are asked not to park in the road, or in the side road leading up to it, but go to the car parks.

Sunday is the day for Lefcosia market. It is on all day and is in the bus station. Lots of locals and lovely fresh fruit and veg plus fish and the usual clothes, rugs, shoes etc.

Re: Open markets
Definitely worth a visit to Famagusta Market, really well organised and plenty of car parking
I don't think it is on all day but finishes around 2pm. It is on a Thursday as mentioned above.
Iskele on a Friday is a small market, but worth a visit and then a drive on to Bogaz Harbour for lunch
and watch the world go by. Lovely way to spend a few hours.
