Is there building work going on at Merit Hotel??

Can anyone help please some friends are trying to book their holiday. However one travel agent is telling them that there is building work going on at the Merit (formerly Mercure) whereas another says there is not!
Does anyone know for sure please.

If it's the same Hotel, one of the postings here says there is building work in the Casino

It says on the review

"Visited here 4 yrs ago and "upon our recent return""

and it's dated May 2014 stayed as a couple

Ah yes, didn't open the whole message.

The new over 14's only hotel is fabulous inside, and have heard great reports about the restaurants there.

Is the old Mercure now a Merit also?
