Sending Prescribed UK Medication and TRNC Customs

Does anyone know what the customs procedure here is (if any) for prescribed medication posted from the UK?

Not sure what the restrictions are but most medicines available over the counter here.

Not 100% sure but I dont think you can send medicines here any more even vitamins.

I think, to be sure, that you would have to go and ask at the Government Pharmacy in Lefkosa.

Thanks for all your replies. I checked prices at a pharmacy today and what I need are very inexpensive.

I order mine from the chemist at Catalkoy and he gets them imported as part of his order.

How can you have them prescribed for you if you are here? Don't you have to see your Dr for a prescription anymore?

waddo you can buy prescription drugs via an online doctor.You complete an online form and subject to your answers the online doctor agrees it and dispenses your drugs.

Fincho, well that's one I have never heard of before, I must get out more - lol. Is that just a UK thing, a World wide thing or an NHS thing?
Got to ask why you would bother anyway, here you can go buy most prescription only drugs over the counter just by asking for them! I am the first to agree it is a bit dodgy if you don't know what you are asking for (or do!!!!!) But it is nice to be able to be treated as a person with a brain and common sense instead of being "restricted" by the let's take away everybody's freedom of choice brigade.

I used to live on the south side and there you are far more restricted with over the counter drugs but you can have drugs delivered there.Its much easier living here.The online doctors do lots of medicines that people maybe wouldn't want to buy over the counter.
