Two recent passport photos.
A photocopy of sale contract, Kocan or rental agreement.

We did ours last week in and out in 30 mins, both 60+, you go direct to the immigration office in Lefkosa. We did as above apart from no photos when we were there we had to complete a white form.

Unfortunately for the under 60 I think you still have to go to the police station 1st and then get blood tests. Worth taking the documents with you to the police station, to be safe. Once you have your tests you can go to Lefkosa.

Not wanting to move off topic but would appreciate help/advice.

Plan to spend extended stay in N Cyprus from next year. The residency/temp residency or just leave the island after 90 days have often been discussed on the forum so is there anyone who can put things in simple terms.

i.e. Why go for residency, what is the difference between residency and temp residency.

Under 60 so what paperwork/tests are required for both residency and temp residency. Where to get paperwork, where to go to get tests and register. Is a proof of income required into TRNC bank or will UK income suffice into UK bank?

Understand that things change but would be good to know a little more and what is required.

Or do we just trawl the BRS website...of which we are not members.

Feel free to email or PM.

Cheers

You do not need any stamps at the police station for renewal or photo,s you need a 10 tl stamp for Lefcosia or 11.2tl at the cafe there,we did it last week total time 15 mins but a bit of a runaround for blood tests.

Posh-In your case and assuming you mean by 'extended stay'-6 mths or so I would just ship myself off for the day with the missus and do a bit of shopping/Sight seeing.
There are a few folk that have lived here for years and been doing that (allegedly).

So you just nip over the South to get your white paper stamped that bit I understand, but I've looked on the White slip and it doesn't have a date on it,so how do you know the stamp is for 3 months?? In fact all the stamps on my white paper don't have dates
