NOTICE TO OZANKOY RESIDENTS, IMPORTANT MEETING TOMORROW

I have just read on another forum that the Ozankoy muhtar has asked as many Ozankoy residents as possible, ESPECIALLY expats, to attend an important meeting at Ozankoy bookshop, tomorrow morning at 10.30.

Does anyone have any idea what this IMPORTANT meeting is about? I think a lot of ex-pats would like some idea before they venture out in the heat and maybe have some time to prepare any questions or queries

Still in the UK until the 28th so couldn't go myself

I had anothe appointment this morning, so rang a Cypriot resident of Ozankoy and asked if he knew about it.

If I have got it right, it seems there is to be a TV programme about Ozankoy and the Muhtar suggested any expats who were interested in speaking on it should be invited to foregather at the Bookshop.

It does seem strange that there was no official notice and we only got to hear about it through "Chinese Whispers" and I agree with
Taximax it is wrong that people (particularly those who may have health problems) should have to rush out in this heat because they thought something important was happening that could affect their village.

I too would be interested to hear from anyone who did make it.
