Road tax gone up?

Just renewed our road tax for another year and it has gone up. Last year we found it had decreased by about 150TL as the car was a year older. This year it has gone up by 150tl. When I queried why it had gone up the lady in the tax office simply said. Yes it's gone up. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Ours went down from 268TL to 207TL or thereabouts. I think it's to do with the weight and engine size, but the rules do seem to have changed. We have a Toyota Corolla, those of you with big heavy polluting 4 wheel drive jobbies will pay more

Yeah!!! But the bonus is it now costs less to fill the tank on my heavy polluting big jobbies - lol. With fuel prices going down there is less income so road tax goes up - that's life I guess.
