You're not wrong there, muffin. Each and every one of them has played there part in getting Arthur through this ordeal. Some more than others, obviously, as it is a busy practice but they have all been involved at some point or another.

Re: Poison in Karsiyaka
Back from the vets and have been told tomorrow is the last drip for his meds. Blood to be taken as well to test that the liver and kidneys are still ok after everything and then, hopefully, that will be the end of it. It has been a long and difficult 2 weeks but so long as it is a case of alls well that ends well we will sit back, take a deep intake of air, and thank The Lord it is all over. Fingers crossed.

Re: Poison in Karsiyaka
Arthur has been in today for what was his last drip and all canulars have been removed. His legs look like my head, very bald. A blood sample was taken to test his liver and kidneys and we await the results of those, which will be some time this afternoon. According to Sibel the result of these tests will determine whether or not he needs to have a prescription for vitamins, which is no big deal.
Now it is time to give him a good shower as he is a little bit messy after the last 2 weeks. He doesn't enjoy the shower part but loves the dry down he gets off his mam.
Happy dog, happy parents.
Thank you everybody

Cheers Trev, you two were a big help when we needed you most and that is much appreciated. Honest concern and daily visits to see how Arthur was doing lifted our spirits. Sometimes you just have to have laugh to forget things and you two helped us do that when we sat chatting.

Re: Poison in Karsiyaka
The blood tests have come back clear so all Arthur needs now is a prescription for vitamins that will continue the good work already done on his nervous system. To all intents and purposes he is now finished at the vets and we thank them for their efforts without which this story would not have had a happy ending. Last Saturday he was as good as dead and it has been a very long 2 weeks but all's well that ends well and this boy of ours has won what has probably been the hardest fight of his short life. He has had his shower now and, if I say so myself, looks like a million dollars. He is now full of energy with a healthy appetite, he is certainly back to his old self in a big way.
I see that this thread has near on 2000 views and it is very heart warming to know that, not only the people who have made comments but so many more of you have been taking an interest in Arthur's progress. Many thanks to you all, it really is appreciated.

Re: Poison in Karsiyaka
Best visit to the vets for 2 weeks. Pick up a prescription for his vitamins and pay the bill and that is that. Clean bill of health for our Arthur and boy oh boy is that good to hear. I won't post again on this matter unless somebody asks me a direct question.
We will sing the the praises of the staff at Petcross from the rooftops forever and a day and, once again, would like to thank everybody for the messages and the concern shown, proving that it is only a small minority on this island who are viscous and vindictive towards animals. Sadly a very dangerous minority but, hopefully, that will change in time. I sincerely hope so for all you pet lovers out there.
