On 3rd May I bought my daughter a Syrian Hamster for her birthday from a petshop, as we had one previously in the UK that we had to rehome when we left. This poor creature had half an ear missing, and was covered in bite marks when we got it so we called it "Lucky" as it was very lucky to come to a nice loving home where she would be well cared for.
Last night I commented that the Hamster was quite plump and that her nipples were visible, and this afternoon we have 7 more! Looked up the gestation period and only 16 days! My son would like one of the babies, but that still leaves 6, so if you might be interested in one in a few weeks let me know. They are great pets for children, easy to look after, only I would like them to go to homes where they will be taken care of properly (cleaned out regularly and handled), and not like in the pet shops here, that don't know how to take care of these lovely little animals. All they need is a nice cage, wheel, and a little house that are readily available.
