Thief has been caught and not British but French! Think we still need to learn from this and not leave our valuables unattended.

I am amazed! In Uk it would never but never have been resolved! Even if you had been stabbed and left to die. So maybe some things are better here !

There are a lot of things that are better here

In the uk this sort of crime is the norm im afraid , but not here .

The police here are quite efficient to say the least. I hope the low down bag thief gets a good slapping.

When we were in Tenneriffe my sister & niece decided to go for a stroll.
My sister had her bag over her shoulder, not a designer bag, just an ordinary little cheap job that she was comfortable with.
Just outside our hotel out of nowhere came a handbag thief grabbed the strap of the bag. My sister hung on, my niece valiantly fought him off till he ran off down the road empty handed.
My niece then said to her mum, "Whew that was lucky what did you have in there mum?"
My sister replied "Only a tissue and some imperial mints"
We all fell about laughing. Would have been worth allowing him to take the bag if we could have seen his face when he opened it.
