Interesting places to go / topics to write about
Hello everyone. I have a blog in Russian that suddenly became quite popular among local Russians and people who are interested in coming to TRNC. I am always searching for interesting topics that can become a post for me in future. I love to take pictures and purely enjoy writing. I would be grateful if you could give me ideas or direct contacts of people / businesses / places that could make a good interesting article. Thank you!
Kind regards,
Dasha Denisova

Do give us the link to your blog. I would like to take a look and recommend it to my friends.

Sorrmy keyboard isplahying p again! Or you could write about the Russian language Society? and what about the churces ; the armenian villges; .

I agree with all of the things you suggest Marions, but for me, for a true taste of North Cyprus, a tour of the, as yet unspoilt, Karpas is a must.
The beautiful beaches, and the lovely old villages with their traditional cypriot houses and reviews of the 'eateries' up there.
Turtle beach, and hatching time, a very moving experience.
A visit to George and the 'royal family'
Early morning at the Bogaz harbour when the fishing boats come in with their interesting catches.
The list is endless, I would suggest, as nice as Kyrenia is, it is a 'known quantity'and getting away from the more known commercial areas could provide some very good insights into the 'true face of the TRNC.

I agree. And of course, one must do a touur of famagusta and a write up of its history; pluss the far end of Karpaz, the monastery and Dipkarpaz with its Greek Coffee shop one side of the rroad and the Turkish coffee shop on the others.
Dasha, you are going to be aa very busy lady!

Thank you very much once again. I live in Cyprus for 2 years and have been to many places here. But some are worth a good report for sure. In the meantime I always search for interesting people who have a story to tell or experience to share. Any ideas of that kind are welcome too!
Kind regards,

Again Dasha. there are people in the media; successful business people; Turkish Cypriots who have tales to tell of their vllages. I could tell you of many, but think who you might like to write aout. give me some ideas (best to e mail me) and if I know I will give you contact information.
You have lots of charities here and the people who run them - that is another idea. I am sure others have more.

Have you read Soner's book " The Green Line " (well worth it). Follow up with an interview when he is over here in a few weeks time.

Hmm. to Soner I would say in English 'rubbish' but maybe I should say 'Cop' at his remark. The man is as interesting as the book, for the book is the man!
