Our residency in May last year was the same, we went to the private lab, but we only had blood taken, nothing else was injected, I would not have let them inject anything into me. I suggest you go back Bubbles and demand to know. I am sure that they don't have any rights to inject you with something willy nilly.

I was there yesterday, the clear liquid I was advised was a test for TB and I was told that I need to return tomorrow to show them whether there is any reaction to the injection as part of the medical test so they can complete the results.
They also informed that after that injection you must not get the arm wet or scratch for 2 hours.

Strange, we had our medical only 2 weeks ago at Girne Hospital, both blood test and X-Ray were done there no going to private clinics or TB scratch test that some are having to get.

I believe the 'scratch' test for TB, is instead of you having an X-Ray. So better really.....

Hi,
I went to the hospital for the routine blood test and after paying the fee i got told to go to the lab across the road.
The usual blood was taken and also a scratch test for TB, this is instead of an x.ray. Had to return 3 days later to see if there was a reaction. I got told if a blister appears then you have to go for an x.ray.
I went back to the private lab to have arm checked then got told to get results from room 307 at the hospital.
Hope this is helpful.

The TB scratch test is completely normal so don't worry. You will only have an x-ray if you have the testing done at Girne Hospital. Last year I had the x-ray, this year the scratch test. Just make sure you go back in 2 days time so they can look at the reaction. It only takes a couple of seconds.

Before the change to having to go to the hospital, when you could go to any lab for your test, then it was normal to have the blood test and TB test.(which is as mentioned what the second injection is all about)

But the fee is still the same as you pay at hospital 135tl and they then ask you after waiting like 1 hour to go to
Private lab and then wait another hour or more until your seen too.
Well we did because obviously busy and 1 nurse and the hospital kept sending and sending lots of people there.
The lab room is not big enough as it is.

I went yesterday to get my arm checked where they did this TB and took a few seconds and they said to pick up
The results today (if they ready) or after bayram.

Life in North Cyprus is never boring!
In 8 years there has been so many change in procedures for residency as well as offices to go to I could write a book on that alone.
You just go with what you are told, have a laugh over a few beers over the latest change and then move on.
