shopping in the South

I am wanting to go to the South to the Homebase type shop which is believe is on the outskirts of Nicosia. Does anyone run a taxi service there and back from Kyrenia.

Get the bus 158 or 160, cost 1.50euro each way and it stops right outside Leroy Merlin if that's the shop your after.

I think that the DIY shop you need is called Superhomes and there are 2 branches - one in the Mall of Engomi which is quite close to the Metehan Crossing, the other is a standalone shop close the Mall of Cyprus and Ikea. Unfortunately I always drive there but I am sure that there is a bus service from the top of Ledra Street which will take you directly to either branch.

This may not be news to everyone, but Alphamega in the South are now stocking a wide range of Tesco own brand goods at prices which although higher than UK are quite reasonable. This was on Tuesday the 29th, we were unable to discover if this was a short term/one of promotion or a permanent thing. The store referred to is, turn left at the magic roundabout just past the coca cola factory, proceed to the traffic light with McDonalds on your right , turn right there and Alphamega is immediately on the left.
