Our ‘Pink’ month more or less draws to close this week with ‘Pink Friday’ where we have schools, Belediye’s and businesses supporting our Breast Cancer Awareness Month by encouraging staff and pupils to wear pink and making a donation to Tulips.

The following venues are putting on a special ‘Pink Night’ for Tulips:

Café George (Girne): is running a raffle from lunchtime on the 25th to the evening when the winning numbers will be drawn and you will have the chance to win some money - you have to be in it to win it!

They will also be collecting money ie 5tl if you turn up in pink and 10tl if you don’t!

Café George are also having a music night with live entertainment on the 26th October as Billy (from London) takes the stage and George will be collecting again for Tulips.

Corner House (Ozankoy): will be having their usual quiz night on the 25th October but with a difference, everyone is expected to attend wearing something pink, they will also be testing your musical knowledge as they run an additional quiz. To help get you into the swing of things you will be able to buy Pink Cocktails where a donation for every drink sold will come to Tulips.

You must turn up in pink if you wish to win the prize for being the best dressed ‘Pink Person’!

Stumble Inn ( Lapta): are holding a Soul and Motown night with the fabulous Martin Costa (rumour has it that Martin will be wearing something pink) so you can dance the night away but more importantly for Tulips is that the Stumble Inn is sponsoring every draught Efes and draught Becks purchased between 8pm and 9pm – you will place the money straight into our charity box!

We will be also running a ‘Pink Raffle’, and there is a BBQ available between 7.30 pm and 10pm.

Thank you to all three for supporting us on the night and please everyone try and find the time to pop into one of these venues as they are all putting in so much effort for us and we are sure they would like to see their venues full!

Only 2 days to go!

There will be bars and restaurants across Girne also involved so please support their efforts (to help us) as well as those above who have thrown their full weight behind us by hosting very special 'Pink' evenings.

Iktisatbank are backing this campaign 100% as all 19 of their branches if their branches will be 'In The Pink' for the day.

We have many schools in Girne also supporting this so hopefully we will be able to see many 'Pink' dressed children going to school!

We're really looking forward to tomorrow night at Corner house; Pink Friday activities include our normal quiz from 6pm. Ay 9pm we have our music quiz which is 10tl a team (a maximum of 6 in a team) where you could win a 2 course meal in the restaurant. Our Pink cocktail menu is looking yummy and don't forget to wear something pink!!! We have a bottle of pink bubbles for the best dressed. For more info please call us on 0542 852 5258. Are you going to be 'Tickled Pink' today?

In addition to the venues above holding special 'Pink Nights' (which are going to fun nights!) for us there are many other places supporting 'Pink Friday' ie newspapers, shops, schools, Belediye's, hairdressers, restaurants and bars, supermarkets, banks and a bowling alley - please support everyone and their efforts to support us.
