Re: Silver Rocks
Why close sosoon.l What a tragedy. And it is only a while ago that people enjoyed a fabulous Christmastide there. I shall miss you so. And when on earth will you be reopening. What with Silver Rocks and Club Ilgaz falling by the wayside (or seemingly so) where oh where will we all go.

I think Marion it goes very quiet after half term and with the amount of staff they have would. Not be worth it. Also as they are open 7 days a week from 9 until well after midnight they do need a few months off. It will also take time painting and putting things right. I will be very upset but having been in the business need that break. See you about Marion.

Re: Silver Rocks
I understand all yu say, but so many of us do like Silver Rocks and with Ilgaz Club closing too, that means the two best places are disappearing at a time when it is great to have a meal out and around a nice warm fire.l I guess I am being selfish! (don't answer that!). Plus of course that is another place we cannot go for Christmas!

I believe that Club Ilgaz has had to close due to the serious illness of one of the owners. I will miss the place certainly but wish the family all the very best at this difficult time.

Re: Silver Rocks
You are correct Elizabeth. Sadly, although Colub Ilgaz will continue under new managers, Sean and Sue will no longer be connected with the place. Sue is already in U.K and is a very sick lady, and Sean will follow very shortly, leaving Cyprus behind after a long and happy relationship with the island. Everyone will miss them both, especially as Cluyb Ilgaz will haveno Christmas or New Year celebrations.
But life changes. But let's hope there is some good news somewhere.
Many people are very sad that these two lovelypeople will no longer be part of the scene, having met at Rafters years ago, run the Moon over The Water at Bogaz for a long time, and now Club Ilgaz.

If you want to go for lunch or dinner why not try the Cabin, it has just had all new windows put in for the winter months with an inside bar. Should be very cosy.

I heard today that Sean was advised on Sunday to return to the UK asap. He went on Monday morning. Sadly it does not sound very good.
