Dolly's doing well.

Our most grateful thanks to all those people who have continued with hits and messages, following Dolly's terrifying attack by the Rottweiler -she has now topped 1700, which is just amazing. We have still been unable to locate the owner, but thankfully, she now seems almost back to how she was before the horrors of that morning. She did contract a bladder/urinary tract infection, which may, or may not have been associated with the injuries, but antiobiotics soon sorted that out. She is also socialising again with her "big" friends, but still a bit wary of strangers
--hardly surprising!
I would just like to refer back to Kemal's postings following my views about the young Rottie next door. He is now about 7/8 months old, doesn't leave his small enclosure from one weekend to the next, is bored and lonely, never sees another dog, let alone socialises, and empties his water bucket and tosses it out of the "cage" within minutes of it being filled. He still has a gentle nature, but for how long? I used to let him out to run around the garden, but daren't now since he jumps up and would flatten me! As my son keeps telling me, "It is not my problem", but it worries me constantly that people can be so thoughtless and uncaring.

Very nice to read that Dolly is ok.

I really do not understand why somebody would get a dog and put it in a cage to list most of his/her life. If you cant look after it, dont get it.
