Appreciation to Sue and Carole
I think we should say a very big loud THANK YOU to Sue and Carole for all the hard work they do to raise funds for tulips.
In October through various fund raising events, they helped raise an amazing 33,065,84tl.
I know this should be on the charity forum but I think as many people as possible should see it first.
I met the two of them today at the Ozankoy bikers day, working hard as usual to raise funds to help those who need it and those of us who hope we never will but just might.
They are lovely, caring people. I applaud them both.

Couldm't agree more. Will be writing in KKT but that is next week (more or less0 and it is important that everyone realizes just what a fabulous pair of hard working, caring ladies these two are. I don't think that 'thanks' in adequate working for all they do. But as th eEnglish language doe snot have a betterone,l I guess that is all one can say.
I just hope they get rewarded in their lives for all they do for others.

I couldn't agree more Marions, they are a pair of unsung heroines who stay out of the limelight and just quietly 'get on with it'. At the end of the day they thank everyone else.
That is why I thought we should send a few, as you say, inadequate but much deserved words of thanks to them.

Very well done ladies but are the figures correct as it equates to over a million pounds sterling. Hope it is correct.

Philyesil, don't know what your figure was related to but actual figure posted was 33,065.84TL which with the current exchange rate is around 10,000 stirling, and yes it was a brilliant amount to raise, but the girls worked very hard to achieve this.

Many thanks to everyone for your kind and generous comments.
We would just like to say that the fund raising events that we organise (or get involved in) are only as successful as those who support them and that is down to all of you!
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all your support.

philyesil,
Just realised what you meant in your message - there are a few too many 0's in msg 1!!
It should read 30,065.84TL.

Thanks Barbie, an easy mistake but one which could cause problems. We don't need those! Again a very large sum raised with lots of hard work from Carole, Sue and all the others who made it possible. Well done everyone.

Re: Appreciation to Sue and Carole
PROOF POSITIVE THAT WE ALL READ WHAT WE THINK IS THERE. I read the initial posting and did not see the extra nought. I read it as the thirty odd thousand lira, because I knew it was that figure. Shows indeed how our memory can mislead us, and how our powers of observation can fail us. Maybe it was because it took a policeman to see the mistake!!!! All to do with training, methinks.
To put this magnificent sum into perspective though, the figure that is needed each month by Tulips is a staggeringly huge sum, and we all need to continue to be generous overand above any monies raised so that Tulips can continue to do their work.
Being somewhat selfish, I look at it as an insurance policy, knowing the amount of cancer in my family!
Seriously, you two ladies are fab, and I hope that you get rewarded in this life for all the good tha t you do. Waiting for the next life is a sound piece of theology, but very unjust! Bless you both.

Re: Appreciation to Sue and Carole
No thank you Philyesil for being so understanding, just did not think to look at original posting, cos the only thing I saw was acknowledgement to Carol and Sue who so deserve it! Anyway lets just hope the funds continue to grow and one day reach that mark, but what would be nicer would be a cure for cancer and the funds to administer it!

Re: Appreciation to Sue and Carole
So sorry for that blunder. Pleased to see though that it didn't detract from the reason for the posting, ie thanks to Sue and Carole.
