SCART to HDMI
I have a Sony Home theatre system with Scart lead, TV gave up the ghost so have bought a Samsung Smart TV (HD WiFi 3D etc), which only has inputs for HDMI cables , Is this what i need ?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SCART-HDMI-conv ... +converter

Rather not pay out for a new home cinema set up as existing one perfectly fine

Plus is there a way to route a PS3 through the home cinema system?

Thanks

You posted this question on another forum and I replied to this, so just in case you haven't seen the reply I'll repost on here.

Are you not forgetting that the TV has a SVGA input?
If you were to use the scart to SVGA route it avoids having to convert the HDMI digital to a analogue scart signal and get lets complicated.
you will loose the audio but as you are running this through a Home Theatre system the audio would be serviced by the AV receiver and surround sound speakers.
