Power Cuts Tomorrow

Just seen in Cyprus Today that there is going to be a 6 hour power cut tomorrow while work is carried out. The areas affected will include Edremit, Lapta, Karaman, Karsiyaka and the power is scheduled to be off between 9a.m and 3 p.m.

Also they have upped the price again from yesterday on top of he increase last week. The non payers now have another reason not to pay.

The thing that annoys me is if an householder doesn't pay their electric bill, they would have their plug pulled pronto. That should have been done to all the none payers long ago. Why should the innocent people pay their bills for them. I wonder if it would be a good idea if the people got together and held a protest raliegh.

You could try, and probably be arrested, Non TRNC citizens are not allowed to carry banners etc. Unless you could persuade your TC friends to carry them for you!!

At least while we haven't got any electricity, we're not paying the increase!

...Apart from the cost of diesel for the generator, of course

Why would the TC's support a rally? Generally, they are the ones who aren't paying their bills
