wrong pricing

Yesterday in Tempo Supermarket in Karaoğlanoğlu I needed porridge oats. I usually have the Turkish Brand Lifalif at 4.85tl for 500g. I spotted some boxes of Gordons Rich and Creamy 750g for 7.85tl. So I thought I would try those for a change. When we got home and just happened to check the bill they were charged at 11.85tl. My husband took them back and told one of the girls who went with him to the shelf we had gotten them from. On further inspection he was told the price tag of 7.85tl was for a product called Nestles, where the label was, the name was so faded !!!!. So he asked where are the Nestles with a reply of, we have none left. So they just stack the shelves there with different branded goods and do not update the pricings . So beware and take your glasses with you. Does anyone regularly check their shopping bills there and find mistakes. I know we will.

I always check the pricing, my receipts and most importantly everything that I pick up - 'the date is checked'!

I once had a really bad experience with frozen chicken in Lemar, hence I will not buy chicken from there ever again. They had stuck a frozen date label over and out of date fresh label and my wife and I did not see this until after we had eaten the chicken. As you can imagine, we were extremely ill after this!

Agree with Squashmad. Prices on shelves are very often not for the products beside them - we always check the barcode and if we can't find a matching ticket, ask at the till. The other day we bought 6 jumbo eggs from Lemar, Catalkoy and I noticed on the receipt that they had come up at 9.90 instead of 2.75. We didn't have any problem getting the difference refunded but it shows you should always check your receipt. The worst we had was in Supreme where the sub-total of the previous customer was added to our bill!

I shopped at karakum lemar once and saw on offer in a big basket all Birdseye custard the large one and was
Priced at 5tl each as said on the paper on the basket.
The dates were no problem as we always check.
So we took one.
We didn't check the receipt until we were home as I had quickly shoved it into the shopping bag in a hurry.
We were charged original price of 9.90tl
We went back the same day but late and spoke to a cashier and she just shrugged and said in Turkish to my husband
Maybe the campaign is finished.
That's it!

Had a similar problem a few months back in Supreme on tonic/soda water. We first started buying it at 1.95tl a bottle, then 1.49tl and then on special at 0.95tl, so the next week we cleared the cold shelf and the normal shelf of both(about 20 of each) and when we got to the till she said the offer had finished so I took her to the shelf and it was still marked up at 0.95tl and wouldn't budge so I paid for my bread and left the trolley at the till and now they all sell it at 0.95tl LOL.

I went to lemar tonight to get a few bottles of the wine that was on offer
For 4.95tl don Simon.
I have been buying them for the past 2 weeks now but tonight when we buying a few bottles from the campaign area
With the price 4.95tl and a picture of the bottles in the advertisement, there were boxes all in that area with red wine and white wine don Simon so I taken 3 bottles of white of what I was buying before.

I come to the cashier and she said 6.45tl each I said no and showed the campaign advertisement and the boxes around that area full and she said no its the plastic bottles.
I said there wasn't no plastic bottles last time ànd they are named different.
I asked for the manager as she didn't understand me.

He said the campaign for the don Simon is finished and now it's the plastic bottles.
I said this is false advertisement and you still have boxes full here and you gave even
Don Simon in display in the campaign area all mixed and the advertisement paper shows the don Simon
And not the plastic bottles (with different names)

I got angry as he just said sorry madam I will sort it.
To me this is cheating the customers and they trying to steal more money!
I've now had problem with girne lemar and now alsancak!
And Also starling!
I will not be shoping there again!
I will shop somewhere else.

Also lastly to add... In the detergent area I saw an advertisement for morning fresh 2.99tl
But the cashier said its 3.95tl now I said please come and show me the lable.
The label was in the wrong place as somebody had moved it!!

Be careful and check your receipts and what your looking at with the offers,
Be sure they are 100% on offer!

This happens all the time I'm afraid - the latest for me was three weeks ago. I couldn't understand why my bill was about 25tl more than I expected. I went through everything in my bag and then checked them off against the till receipt. I discovered that some spring onions were on the bill as a box of Cadburies chocolates. How this could have happened with bar coding I have no idea. I've also had some apples priced up by a dozy youth on the vegetable counter as Avocados. Fortunately I spotted this before I went to the till. Both occured at Lemar, Alsancak
