Single-sex Summer Camps - What do you think?

I read in today's Hürriyet that the Turkish Minstry of Education (or to more precise the "Youth and Sports" wing of it) have announced that (for the first time) in all their Summer camps this year for 13 to 22 year olds, the boys and the girls will attend the various camps at different times.

Please note that I don't know if the KKTC Ministry of Education are intending to do the same for their Summer camp in Kantara.
There are many in Turkey who will think such a move is the thin end of the wedge, and could lead to all secondary schools in Turkey becoming single-sex.
Any thoughts?

Well I agree with these Hurriyet readers, who expressed their opinions so succinctly:
Sema Ali wrote: Harem-greeting the fast geriliyoruz geldi.Ne back, shame, shame ..
SENTURK BANU wrote: Prohibit, subset, parse that engage more in their own way, come together in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oh, for providing guidance to find the truth.
Özözer Asime wrote: Supreme God, by separating them into two equal that generated by the servants of men and women perceive and social system I established accordingly to forgive us, His servants, as you made for me, spare us of brighter days we can see equal
Erdogan Biray wrote: All that is forbidden is tempting to mankind, and things did not Coexistence düşündürür.Neden children naturally asked to be removed? Everything Is sexuality? Why these kids together in the holiday could never work together?
KIRK HÜSEYİN wrote: APPLICATION OF THIS BEAUTIFUL LAF do not need to ... ...
....Actually, when I read that, I'm not so sure of my interpretation of the original Turkish Language article, or whether I should really be commenting on the mores and governance of a culture which is so completely alien to me...

Reminds me of Britain of earlier days and Welsh chapels of even earlier days. Separate the sexes with a touch of 'No sex please, we're British'. I know they think they are protecting youth, but I am inclined to agree that 'stolen fruit' often comes in to play.

Municipalities no longer allowing bars to have their tables outside, increasingly- higher percentage of tax on alcohol, and now this - Turkish friends of mine would says these are all signs of the AKP's bigger plan ...
