All the G & T drinkers have used up all the supplies of Tonic again. Can only find the tiny glass bottles .

That was often the way when I was there Malcolm.

I don't think the G & T boat has docked for a long time now. Gone the same way as "proper" All Bran and most of large tins of Dog Food.

When I had trouble getting the cheaper cat food I was told a lot of the apparent shortages were to do with the weakness of the lira.

It is Schweppes Tonic I am trying to get. Checked the shop behind Pia Bella......no luck. Other than waiting for the boat to arrive maybe the dark side has some???

G&T is not the same without the real thing!!

The local stuff is okay'ish but not the same.

I have searched every supermarket here to no avail but will be going over to the South next week so will check out the stores there.

Once again there is also a shortage of Schweppes Ginger Ale, I can buy the little cans that say ' the spicey one' but I don't want these and there is definitely none of this in the South.

All I want for Christmas is ......... Schweppes tonic and ginger ale (I am easily pleased)

Squashmad, I think that sometimes, the South is affected the same way as up here. I can remember about 3 years ago you couldn't get Scotts or Quaker porridge oats either side. At present Shredded Wheat doesn't appear to be anywhere.
