Hi.
Does any one know of a department store near to the Metehan border crossing. Maybe called Onda?

Go to the last roundabout before Metehan where there is a car dealer on one corner, turn left down to the traffic lights. Turn right & drive through all the shops, cafes keep straight on when the road forks I think the shop you mean is on the right. Let us know what it's like as I have often wondered, we are always going elsewhere when we pass!

Hi
I posted a reply on Lemon Grove - I think it is the same place. You don't really want to go anywhere near Metehan - it is much easier to reach going straight ahead at Boulders roundabout through the mini roundabout and all the traffic lights, once the road goes down to single lanes it is on right hand side, not far beyond Lavash restaurant (which is opposite the fork in the road that ozankoys mentions).

Ondur is on the main road past the hospital keep going straight on through two sets of lights I think and its on the right a big blue building.

You go straight from the boulder roundabout, as Deniz1 confirms. You pass the state hospital (LHS) go through mini roundabout (Beko/Sony on RHS), keep going straight at all the traffic lights (there are about 4 sets) then the road narrows from two lanes to one lane, passing the fork in the road that you mentioned (just about opposite Lavash) and Onder is on RHS, set back from the road with a small car park in front and a larger car park to the North side. If you reach the roundabout that takes you on to the one way system going around to Kyrenia gate you've gone too far.

We always refer to it as the Lefkosa Debenhams and shop there a lot. You could call it a "one stop shop". You can't really miss it because it's dark blue glass from top to bottom and has a large car park. The is another Branch which is on a slip road on the RHS about 150yards down from the main Gonyelli roundabout towards Lefkosa. Mr Onder (this is an O with an umlaut) admits its not been the success he hoped for. If you want a coffee or ice cream, head towards Mardos on the top floor.

Funny we always refer to Ondur as the Co-op as it reminds us of an old style Co-op store

Doesn't surprise one one bit D1. The Onder family were disappointed in the new store, which lets face it, wasn't that small and despite the fact that we went in there occasionally, we found there were more staff than customers. Guru, your description is probably better than ours. The way they display clothes is very Co-op like, I have to admit!!

Well we went to Onder today, It reminded me of the old Carlisle Co-op shop. Fully expected to meet some Carlisle folk in there. The Debenhams of the North. Hrm don't think so really.
